Grade school was a massive socialization exercise designed to teach children societal norms, cooperation, and how to navigate peer dynamics.

However, this doesn’t always allow for “different” students. It’s well known that kids can be cruel to those they don’t understand. What isn’t understood is the fact that teachers in these schools are sometimes worse than the kids they teach.

By the time 6 years had passed, the social denial from school and even from church Sunday school had begun to instill much anger. It wasn’t until early high school this finally took its toll.

God was there! That little boy at the age of 10 did not understand so he began to ask God for proof that He did exist. Sunday school was as bad, if not worse, so everything he heard in school and in his Sunday School classes did not seem to apply to his life.

“God, if you are real, if you exist, please show me. I am not seeing it…” So began a month or more of such prayers, asking God for assurance He was real. Just some proof He was really God.

God heard those fervent prayers and knowing the little guy’s coming years were not going to be easy. Knowing the need to carry him through everything soon to come, Jesus showed His face to that little one in pure love.
